      Associate Professor

    Dr. Sun Xiais an Associate Professor at the Institute of International Relations (IIR), Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences (SASS).She specialized in energy policy and received her Ph.D. from the School of International Relation and Public Affairs at Fudan University. Her M.A.in Curriculum and Instructions was earned at the University of Science and Technology of China. She earned her undergraduate degreein Curriculum and Instruction (Political Education)from Qufu Teachers’ University.

     Sun Xia’sresearch interests include Energy Security, China’s Energy Policies, China’s Diplomacy and the Protection of Oversea Interests, andGlobal Governance of Climate Change.For one year, she was a Visiting Research Fellow at Gothenburg University, Sweden with a focus on European Energy Policies. Sunhas contributed extensively to leading international conferences in China,Saudi Arabia, South Korea,the United States, and numerous other countries.
