【摘要】東西矛盾和南北矛盾是冷戰時期的基本矛盾。冷戰結束后,隨著南北矛盾的繼續發展以及東西矛盾的下降,這兩組矛盾不再成為影響世界格局的基本矛盾。在后冷戰時期,西方文明與多元文明之間的矛盾實際上成為當今世界的基本矛盾,其主要內容就是西方文明的普世化與基于非西方文明的國家堅持自己發展道路的沖突,同時也表現為霸權主義和反霸的沖突,并深刻地影響著南北矛盾的發展。在當今世界,代表進步、文明、民主的潮流是以多元文明為背景的各個國家的相互尊重以及各國間的和平共處與共同發展,而強行把西方意識形態、制度和發展道路"普世化"的霸權主義已成為世界進步的絆腳石。
